10,000th referral passed between members

At 7.14am on Thursday February 26th 2009, Faversham BNI passed its 10,000th referral.
Bernie Meredith, who runs a Bookkeeping Practice, of Eagle Vision Business Solutions, a founder member of the Faversham group, passed a referral to Geoff Porter of Dargate MOT Centre. At this point Membership Coordinator Robin Evans broke with BNI protocol and rang a bell calling the meeting to a temporary halt, during which time Chapter Director Chris Lee presented a bottle of champagne to Bernie to mark the occasion.
Commenting on the landmark referral, Chris said "It seemed incredibly appropriate that one of our founder members should pass the 10,000th referral, having been there on day one in June 2004 when the 1st was passed."
