Thursday 12th of March 2009

Faversham BNI member Dean Marley is taking part in a 3 day, 150 mile bike ride across the Pennines from the Irish to the North Sea raising money for the Rosemere cancer care charity.  He will cover 50, mainly off road miles, each day for 3 consecutive days in April and May, starting from Whitehaven in the Lake District crossing the Pennines to Sunderland in the North East.
Dean will be raising money for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, a charity that provides additional facilities and equipment for patients being treated at cancer centres in the north west, who looked after one of his late business colleagues in her final weeks.

Looking forward to the challenge Dean who has been training hard since Christmas “Tradition dictates that you start the ride by dipping your back wheel in the Irish Sea and only ends when your front wheel gets a dip in the North Sea at the finish.”

“It will be a fantastic challenge for an equally fantastic cause, especially as almost half the route is off-road utilising disused railway lines and climbs over 2000ft across the Pennines.” Said Dean

Dean is being supported and sponsored by many friends and family and has received great backing from the Faversham BNI group who he meets with every Thursday morning. To sponsor Dean simply visit www.justgiving.com/plumbs or telephone him on 01304 208 111
